Waste Oil to Diesel Plant

Our waste oil to diesel production technology and equipment are different from other domestic manufacturers. Based on our in-depth mastery of this technical field, we can customize devices for producing diesel from waste engine oil with different products, different processing capacities and different product qualities according to customer requirements.


The basic processes of our diesel production technology from waste engine oil include: 

  1. Dehydration and light oil removal use the waste heat generated by the device to heat the waste oil to about 260°C to separate the water and light oil in the waste oil.

  2. Catalytic cracking, that is, under the appropriate operating temperature (380-450°C) and normal pressure, supplemented by the corresponding hydraulic catalyst, the additives in the lubricating oil are destroyed through thermal decomposition, and the lubricating oil base oil molecules are broken, so that It becomes short-chain natural gas, LPG, gasoline, diesel and light wax oil components, and after passing through the heat exchanger and condenser, crude diesel oil (also called large pump oil, non-standard diesel) is obtained. This process is the basic step in converting waste oil into diesel fraction.

  3. Catalytic distillation, that is, at an operating temperature of 360°C and normal pressure, separates gasoline, diesel and light wax oil from crude diesel oil through a normal pressure distillation tower and a gas-phase catalytic bed, and removes the Most of the sulfides and nitrides. This process will make the density, distillation range, cetane number, color, flash point, ash content and other basic indicators of the diesel fraction reach the national diesel standard. 

  4. Refining, which means adding specific chemical additives to the fractionated diesel or using adsorption refining technology to further remove sulfides and nitrogen compounds in the oil, eliminate the odor of diesel, and improve the oxidation stability of diesel.  


The final diesel yield rate can reach to 75% to 80%, and the final refined diesel can be used in various types of locomotives, ships and diesel generator sets.

Our waste oil to diesel production technology and equipment have the following characteristics: 

  1. The diesel produced is of high quality, good color and no pungent odor, and can be directly used in various types of locomotives, diesel generators, diesel fuel engines and other equipment.

  2. Product yield is high. 1000L of waste engine oil can produce up to 850 liters of quality diesel.

  3. According to customer requirements, it can be designed to operate continuously for 300 days throughout the year, or to operate intermittently in 1-2 batches per day.

  4. The equipment is compact and occupies a small area.

  5. The device has low operating costs (when operating on a large scale, the processing cost per ton is less than US$10/ton).

  6. All additives and catalysts are developed and formulated by ourselves, with obvious price advantages.

  7. Safe, reliable and highly automated.

  8. Waste gas and waste water are processed using efficient means, with no three wastes being emitted. There is no dust, black smoke, or odor during operation, and the working environment is friendly.
